Getting Started
Is IPTV legal in the UK?
IPTV is simply a technology for delivering TV over the internet — it’s fully legal and used by BBC iPlayer, ITVX and NOW. What matters is content rights: choose providers that are transparent, publish clear terms and offer genuine support.
What exactly is IPTV?
Internet Protocol Television. Channels and on-demand content stream to you over broadband instead of a satellite dish or aerial — like Netflix, but including live television.
What do I need to use XtreamHD?
Broadband (10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K), a compatible device such as a Firestick or Smart TV, and an active subscription or trial. No dish, no aerial, no engineer.
Devices & Setup
Which devices are supported?
Amazon Firestick and Fire TV, Samsung and LG Smart TVs, Android phones and tablets, iPhones and iPads, MAG and Enigma2 boxes, and Windows/Mac computers. See our setup guide.
How many devices can stream at once?
2 simultaneous connections are included per plan. Install the app on as many devices as you like.
Do I need a VPN?
No. The service works directly on UK broadband. Some customers use one by personal choice and it works fine.
Streaming Quality
Why is my stream buffering?
Check in order: (1) test your broadband speed — 10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K; (2) try a wired connection or move closer to your router; (3) restart device and router; (4) check whether all channels buffer or just one — a single channel points to that stream, all channels points to your connection.
The TV guide shows wrong times. How do I fix it?
Check the timezone setting in your player app (use London). If the guide is empty, wait a few minutes after first login and refresh it in the app settings.
Billing
How do I pay?
Secure card checkout. We never see or store your card details.
Do subscriptions auto-renew?
No. When your plan ends, you choose whether to renew. Nothing is taken automatically.
What is your refund policy?
Our 7-day money-back cover applies if the service doesn’t work as described and support can’t resolve it.
I’ve lost my login details. What now?
Message support on WhatsApp with your checkout email and we’ll resend your activation details after verifying your account.
Free Trial
Is the free trial really free?
Yes. 24 hours of full access with no card required and nothing to cancel.
Is trial quality the same as paid plans?
Identical — same servers, same channels, same priority. It’s a genuine test.
The 60-Second Version
Is it legal?
IPTV technology is fully legal — BBC iPlayer and ITVX use it. What matters is choosing a transparent provider with clear terms and real support.
What does it cost?
From £9.99 a month, or £59.99 a year (about £5 a month). No contract, no automatic renewal.
What do I need?
Broadband and a Firestick, Smart TV, phone, tablet or MAG box. Setup takes about 10 minutes.
Can I try it free?
Yes — 24 hours of full access, no card required. Start your trial here.
Terms You’ll See, Explained
EPG — Electronic Programme Guide: the on-screen TV guide showing what’s on now and next, 7 days ahead on UK channels.
VOD — Video on Demand: the movies and series library you can play any time, like Netflix inside your IPTV app.
Catch-up — rewatch programmes from the last 7 days on supported channels, no recording needed.
Xtream Codes — the simplest login method: a server URL plus your username and password. Loads channels, VOD and the guide in one step.
M3U — a playlist link format used by older apps and some set-top boxes. Does the same job as Xtream Codes, with manual setup.
Buffering — when a stream pauses to load. Usually caused by slow WiFi or peak congestion, rarely by the service itself — see the troubleshooting answers above.
More Answers
What speed do I need for 4K?
25 Mbps or more gives the smoothest 4K experience. 10 Mbps is comfortable for Full HD. Most UK fibre connections handle both easily.
Can I record programmes?
Many player apps support recording to USB storage or a connected drive — check your app’s features. Alternatively, the 7-day catch-up on UK channels covers most “I missed it” moments without recording anything.
Will it work on hotel or holiday WiFi?
Yes, as long as the connection is fast enough (10 Mbps+). Your subscription isn’t tied to your home broadband, which makes it ideal for holiday lets and business trips.
Can I share my login with family?
Your plan includes 2 simultaneous connections for your household. Install the app on as many of your own devices as you like.
What happens if the service goes down?
Outages are rare and usually brief. Check our WhatsApp for status updates, and if a fault on our side can’t be resolved, our 7-day money-back cover applies.
Using Your Subscription
Can I change devices after setup?
Any time. Your login isn’t locked to one device — install the app on your new Firestick, TV or phone and sign in with the same details.
Can I watch two things at once?
Yes. Every plan includes 2 simultaneous connections, so the living room and a bedroom can watch different things at the same time.
Does it work on holiday or abroad?
Yes. Your subscription isn’t tied to your home broadband — it works anywhere with a fast enough connection (10 Mbps+).
How do I renew when my plan ends?
We’ll remind you before expiry. Just pick your plan again on the pricing page — nothing renews automatically, so there’s never a surprise charge.
Can I get an invoice or receipt?
Yes. Every payment generates an email receipt automatically. Need something more formal for expenses? Message support and we’ll sort it.

Final Few
Do I still need a TV licence?
Yes — in the UK you need a TV licence to watch live television from any source, including IPTV. It’s £169.50 a year and it’s the law, so factor it into your savings maths honestly.
Will XtreamHD work with my slow rural broadband?
If you get a stable 10 Mbps, Full HD works fine. Below that, try the lower-quality stream options in your player app, or consider whether your connection can be upgraded — no IPTV service can fix a 3 Mbps line.
How do I contact support?
WhatsApp is fastest — real humans, quick replies, free setup help included with every plan and trial.
And Finally
How quickly will I be watching after I pay?
Usually within minutes. Activation emails go out automatically after checkout — evenings and weekends can take a little longer at busy times, but most customers are streaming the same hour they order.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. Every plan is commitment-free with no automatic renewal. When it ends, you decide whether to continue. That’s it.
A Note on Honest Answers
You’ll notice we don’t promise the moon on this page — no “100,000 channels,” no “zero buffering forever.” Any provider making claims like that is selling you a fantasy. What we promise is simpler: a well-run service, honest quality labels, real human support, and a free trial so you can verify everything yourself before spending a penny. That’s the whole pitch.
Still Unsure? Just Test It.
A free 24-hour trial answers every question better than any FAQ page can.
